WILLIAM J. YOUNG
Age 85, of Allentown passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Bill was a devoted husband of 59 years to Jean E. Young; father of Bilean Purdy (Pat), Leann Iannucci (Rich), Libby Wittlin (Mike), Bill (Chris), Mark (Sue), Jim (Andrea), Julie (late Bill Gormley) and Chaz; "Pappy" to his grandchildren Nikki, Danielle, Michael, Ethan, Ashley, Lindsey, and Shane; treasured cousin and friend of many. Bill had a contagious smile and was devoted to his family, faith and work. He was fun-loving, with a great sense of humor and was always there to help anyone in need. Bill graduated from Connelley Trade School, he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served during the Korean War. He then enrolled in the Art Institute and used his creative talents to have a long career with his closest friend Wally Warner at Compass Marketing Services in the advertising industry.
