Yvonne Joy Kablack, known by all as Eve, passed into the Lord’s hands on January, 16th 2026. She was beloved by her family and all who knew her.
Eve was born on February 20, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles S. and Marjorie D. (Haywood) Dunson. Sister to Terrence (Trena) Dunson, Sharlene Lucey, Veronica (Jim) Rice, Marjorie (Gregory) Hobday, Kelly (Rodney Sr.) Ohler and the late Vernon, Allen and Gerald Dunson; mother to Alex and Zachary Kablack; grandmother to Scarlett and Zachary Jr. and aunt and great-aunt to many adored nieces and nephews.
Eve was an animal lover from an early age finding comfort in their companionship. She worked as a manager at the Western PA Humane Society for nearly a decade as well as the Waynesburg Animal Hospital providing compassionate support to animals in need. She enjoyed volunteering her time to other local animal rescues in the area.
She relished spending time at the local stable helping to raise horses or at a family farm taking in some fresh air. In later years she dedicated her time to raising dogs, her favorite breed was the Pug. She was creative and skilled with tools, completing little projects around the house and teaching her children along the way.
Her presence filled every room with love, with an easy going attitude toward life she made those around her feel comfortable. She put everyone she met at ease with her affectionate, playful banter.
You could find her spending time with friends or relaxing at home listening to some classic rock, Bob Seger being one of her favorites. She loved sci-fi movies and late evening episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger. Eve loved to bring her boys along on trips to spend time seeing her mother, sisters, nieces and nephews, something she cherished so much.
The love she presented for the people she cared for will be never-ending. Eve had the ability to create friendship with anyone she met, friendships that would last until the very end. She is dearly missed by all who knew her.
A remembrance event will be hosted for friends and family at a date to be determined later this spring.
