William Jeffrey Friday

Jeffrey, Age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Regis and Audrey (Russell) Friday on February 4, 1954. Jeffrey lived a full and meaningful life, built on family, friendship and loyalty - values he carried with him every day.

A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Jeffrey served our country with honor. He was a thoughtful brother to his five siblings, a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and a cousin to more than he could count - but he always had time for everyone. His easy laugh made him the kind of person that people just loved to be around.

Jeffrey was a devoted dog dad to his beloved companion Blue who rarely left his side. Together they shared countless car rides and much time watching his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams - especially the Steelers. He was a loyal fan through and through.

He will be remembered for his good humor and his knack for making everyone feel welcomed. Jeffrey's stories and jokes will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone lucky enough to know him.

Friends and family shall be received to celebrate his life on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4pm until the 8pm blessing service at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc., 600 Dunster St. Pittsburgh, PA 15226 followed by full military honors.

His interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies shall be held privately
