Thomas “Tom” Frederick McNamee, Sr. (72), of Beaver, PA, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Born on June 7, 1949; he was the son of the late William McNamee, Sr. and Louise McNamee of Oakwood, PA. Tom served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Beloved by all who knew him, Tom was known for his quick wit and his love of family. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, spending time on the golf course, and cooking and baking for those he loved. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Tom leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Joy (Wilson) McNamee; his brother William (Cathy) McNamee, Jr.; his former spouse, Jean Baludauff, and their three sons: Thomas (Lisa) McNamee, Jr., Brian (Mary Beth) McNamee, and Eric McNamee; his three stepchildren: Leesa Schwarz, Jeff (Cindy) Stock, and James (Amanda) Stock; his 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alainnah Stock, in 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church (200 3rd St, Beaver, PA 15009) on Saturday, August 21 at 10:30AM.
