Sopia Kapinski

Age 93, of Brookline, passed peacefully on Sunday February 9, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Kapinski. Cherished daughter of  the late Fedosky and Mary (Yaremko) Yakovchik. Loving mother of Kenneth (Elzena), Thomas (Kathleen), Daniel (Kathleen), and the late Michael. Treasured sister of the late Mary, Helen, and Frank. Proud grandmother of Clint, Aaron, T.K. Jr., Joey, Michelle, and Jamie. Sophia was devoted to her faith. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. 

Visitation for Sophia will be held on Sunday February 23, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. 600 Dunster St. Pittsburgh, PA 15226. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Resurrection, Saint Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 1100 Creedmoor Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15226, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road McMurray, PA 15317-3278.
