Skylar Sue Stube (Sky) age 40
December 5, 1980-February 19, 2021
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a five year battle with cancer. Skylar was born in Midland, Michigan. She grew up in Beaverton, MI graduating from Beaverton High School in 1999.
In her early 20’s Skylar moved to Pittsburgh, PA. Because of her love for all mediums of art, she enrolled in the Pittsburgh Art Institute for graphic design, where she earned her associates degree. Later, she started her career at Highmark where she worked for the remainder of her career. During that time she earned several promotions including earning a position as a senior business analyst.
Skylar was a devoted mother to her two sons, Kellen (10) and Holden (8) of whom she loved and cherished with her whole heart. She loved being their mom as they were the light of her life. They spent a lot of their time crafting, hiking, fishing and going on adventures.
Skylar is the beloved daughter of Cathy (Bob Lang) Schneider, and Charles (Barb) Stube. She is a dear sister to Jennifer (Dennis) Bass and Charles (Crystale) Stube II. She cherished her niece and nephews, Brenden Bass, Lily Stube and Theryn Stube as well as her dear lifetime friend Dacia (Church) Hoppe.
She is preceded in death by her nephew Theryn Bass.
Skylar was an amazing person inside and out. Her personality set her apart from others. She was very outgoing, personable and always, always happy. Her smile lit up a room and she exuded love and happiness everywhere she went. To say she was well loved is an understatement. She touched the lives of so many in such positive ways, her mark will be forever on this earth and in the hearts of all who loved her.
Skylar’s family would like to extend a sincere appreciation for Compassionate Care Hospice of Pittsburgh. They are an amazing team of loving and caring individuals that took great care of Skylar.
Do not judge a biography by its length,
Nor by the number of pages in it.
Judge it by the richness of its content
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most poignant...
Do not judge a song by its duration
Nor by the number of its notes
Judge it by the way it touches and lifts the soul
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful...
And when something has enriched your life
And when it's melody lingers on in your heart
Is it unfinished?
Or is it endless?
