Sandra Lea (Douglass) Moore

Sandra Lea (Douglass) Moore, age 76, of Bethel Park, passed peacefully ending her courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 8, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1947 in Pittsburgh to the late Lois (Burke) and Lauren Douglass. Loving wife of 54 years to Raymond Lee Moore; cherished mother of Douglas (Melissa) and the late Leann Moore; adoring grandmother to Nathan, Andrew and Matthew; dear sister of Laureen Hogben (Harold), Lindy Reed and the late Bobbi Ann Griffith; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Sandy was a 1965 graduate of Dormont High School and worked at many small businesses in a wide range of roles throughout her career.  After her marriage to Ray in 1970, she also spent many years working for the family businesses.  Sandy was an extremely caring person and had a great sense of humor.  She loved spending time with her family, attending her Grandsons’ sporting events, going on family vacations, and loved hosting and attending many family holidays.  She also spent a lot of time volunteering and helping others in many ways.  Most of all she cherished her roles as mother, grandmother, and Aunt. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Log Church on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven (whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com).
