Ryan Dean LaRocca, 34, of Pittsburgh, Pa, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born on September 13, 1989, he was the son of JoAnn Burkhart, and her husband John, and Ronald LaRocca. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, MacArthur Young; grandmother Wilma LaRocca; and his sister Melissa Mason. Ryan was a 2008 graduate of Cornell High School. Ryan was the Marketing/Events Manager at “Paradise Island Bowl and Beach.” Ryan was an outgoing and honest person, he had a “tell it like it was attitude”, but also was one of the most welcoming people. Ryan lit up any room he would walk into with his fierce and vivacious attitude. His heart was made of pure gold and he was full of passion and love for those in his life. Ryan had a love for 80’s music, and would burst out singing to a random song. He loved The City of Pittsburgh and the bridges that are among it. He truly lived up to the mantra “you only live once.” Ryan’s infectious joy and energy will be missed by his sea of friends whom most he considered his family.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his siblings, Joseph (Ashley) LaRocca, Samantha Williams, Ronald LaRocca Jr., and Hayley LaRocca. Niece and nephew Jocelynn and Dominic LaRocca, and Destiney Williams. Grandparents, Sam LaRocca, and Mary Young, as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Ryan was also the “Guncle” to Julian and Armani Crowe.
