Rosetta "Posey" Ann (Nath) McNeal

Posey McNeal (Rosetta Nath), 78, died Saturday July 25, 2025. She was born August 28, 1946, in Pittsburgh, PA to Charles Nath Jr. and Rosetta Nath (Sede). Posey attended Saint Joseph High School and St Joseph Nursing School.  She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at several Pennsylvania and Maryland medical offices until her retirement in 2012.  She specialized in Alzheimer care.

Posey is preceded in death by her husband Michael J. McNeal, III and is survived by their two sons, Michael J. McNeal, IV and Mark J. McNeal (Whitney); granddaughter, Courtney McNeal; great-grandson, Hanson. She is a dearly loved sister to Charlene (Nath) Rozman (John); Joseph Nath (Nancy); Charles Nath (Sherry); James Nath (Jamie) and sister-in-law to JoMarie Piccini and Erin McNeal.

She loved working with her Alzheimer’s Patients assisted by her 2 therapy birds MJ (White Cockatoo) and Murphy (African Grey Parrot) and brought joy to many people.  Posey received a lifesaving lung transplant in August 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. 

We are collecting contributions to offset the costs of the burial and memorial services. Any excess will be given to Donate Life Pennsylvania, a collaborative initiative between Gift of Life Donor Program (GOL), the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE), and the Pennsylvania Departments of Health, Transportation, and Education.  Donations can be sent to Venmo (@Mark-McNeal-6).
