Ronald was known to many by Turk to others as Uncle Ronnie even though he wasn’t actually their Uncle, to some close friends as Pops, but to us he was Dad. However you referred to him he was a Hardworking, Kind, Strong, Passionate man with a Stubborn Streak, who did things his own way. The Hardworking part was his many years, until retirement, from J&L Steel (LTV Steel) and then retiring from The Hopewell School District. The Kind part was he would help anyone and ask for nothing in return and for his love of his family and of the many stray animals that showed up at the house over the years. The Strong part was, a lending a hand to others but to us, he could leap tall buildings or at least the ones he built. And the Passionate part was his Love of Cooking: Pigs, Lamb, Chickens, Beef etc. , Gardening and growing things from seed, Fishing he was a long-time member of the Owl’s Club in Rochester, PA and would go fishing with his close friends to Canada every year, Oldies Music, Western Movies and Show and Scrapping things to squeeze every last penny out of a piece of copper.
Surviving are 2 Daughters Rhonda and her husband Ed Dunkel of Butler and Cris Turkovich of Aliquippa and Beth Michaels Close Family Friend, 3 Sisters: Ruth Burns, Elaine Burd and Linda Erickson and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Many Close Friends.
