Ronald Howard Gilson

Ronald H. Gilson, 76, of McCandless, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2025. Born and raised on Reis Run Road, Ron was known for his warmth, humor, and love of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Park and Howard Gilson. He is survived by his sister, Kathy Park; children: Stacey Hauck (John), Tory Sheppard (Bill), Ronnie Gilson (Melissa), and Ryan Gilson (Liz); 12 grandchildren—Amanda, Lauren, Kaelee, Cayden, Maya, Xavier, Daniel, Joseph, Michael, Clara, Porter, and Ida; and 4 great-grandchildren—Addyson, Cora, Hunter, and David. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his cabin in Titusville. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s events and sharing meals with his buddies. Ron found joy in simple pleasures and good company, he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 19 at 10:00 AM in St. Alexis Church of St. Aidan Parish, 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA. A celebration of life will follow at the family home of Ronnie and Melissa Gilson. Arrangements entrusted to Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc.
