Rick Engle (73) went to heaven on January 26, 2026, after a long fight with Parkinson's disease. Rick was born in Natrona Heights on May 4, 1952. He graduated with honors from Grove City College in 1974 and began a career with Kraft Nabisco. Rick lived most of his life in the Greensburg area with his wife Debbie. There, they made many dear friends during their fifty-one years of marriage.
Rick is survived by his wife Debbie, his son Jeremy and his wife Kirsten, his sister in-law Cathy, and his granddaughters Josie, Jase, and Abbey. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Blaine Engle, his brother Gary, and his younger son Jonathan. Jon passed away one year ago. He and his dad enjoyed being together and Rick had missed Jon very much.
Having endured the symptoms of Parkinson's for more than a decade, Rick was ready to go home to heaven in the end. To quote song lyrics from one of Rick's favorite musicians, Dolly Parton, "O Hosanna. Take my hand now. Lead me to the promised land now. I am ready, I am ready. Hallelujah, I am ready to go."
There will be no visitation according to Rick's wishes. The family will have a private service of remembrance. If you would like, contributions to the Parkinson’s Foundation can be made in Rick’s name.
