RICHARD LEWIS DEBAR

Born: January 9, 1940 Death: August 2, 2021

You good lookin’ SOB, you weren’t ever supposed to die, but on August 2, 2021 you left the world with a smile on your face. On January 9, 1940, Richard Lewis DeBar was born in Heidelberg, PA as the oldest son of Louis and Ruth DeBar; followed by his beloved brother William, Robert, and Donald. He graduated from Connelly Trade School, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a life-long member of the Local #6 Painters Union. Richard and “his bride” Amanda would have celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss on January 17, 2022. Richard is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and yet mostly by the great stories of his life. A military service will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2:30pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Friends and family are invited to attend. The family requests no flowers or arrangements for the service.
