Ralph James Cerminara

Ralph James Cerminara, 82, of Brookline, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 12, 1943, in Beechview, Ralph spent most of his life in the Brookline community that he proudly called home.

A true entrepreneur at heart, Ralph owned and operated several beloved local restaurants and car lots throughout his life. His work ethic, charisma, and dedication to his community made him a well-known and respected figure across Pittsburgh’s South Hills.

Ralph was the proud patriarch of the Cerminara family. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored and spoiled endlessly. Whether it was sharing a meal, cheering them on at school or during sports, or slipping them a little extra cash, “Pop” made sure each grandchild knew just how special they were.

Known for his sharp sense of style, Ralph could always be spotted wearing flashy jewelry and perfectly matching sneakers — a reflection of his big personality and unmistakable charm.

Ralph is survived by his devoted wife, Connie ; his two sons, Anthony and Ralph with wife Val; brother-in-law Gary Scalise and his partner Keith Koll; and his five cherished grandchildren, Kaylee, Chris, Cody, Kylee, and Kiara. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ralph and Alice, and his beloved sister, Mary Alice, who welcomed him home with open arms. His legacy of love, laughter, and family devotion will live on in all who knew him.
