MICHAEL J. OSTROWSKI
Age 68, of Pittsburgh, passed on October 2, 2021. Born May 3, 1953, in New Castle, PA. Son of the late Joseph J. and Bernadine (Surganevich) Ostrowski; beloved husband of 43 years of Cassandra (Parmley) Ostrowski; loving father of Zachery Ostrowski; brother of Janice Dougherty; brother-in-law of Pamela, Robin and Christopher Parmley (Diane); uncle of Stephanie (Sean) Conrad, Erin (Mark) Riggs, Brenda (Paul) Lesnett, Wendy (Robbie) Craton, and Valerie Brown. Also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
A graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Mike worked for Allegheny County for over 30 years as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Examples of his illustrative work (depictions of heroism by major military awardees) can be found in the Hall of Valor at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.
In recent years he enjoyed ushering at the PPG Paints Arena, as well as traveling, gardening, and socializing with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in his memory to the charity of your choice.
A celebration of his life will be held at his home on Saturday, October 9th, 1 to 4 PM. Masks would be appreciated if non-vaccinated.
