Michael Joseph Broderick, 76, of Greentree, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Michael was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Margaret Broderick. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Joan Broderick and Anita (Patrick) Mullen, as well as his beloved brother, Joseph Broderick.
Michael is survived by his sister, Margaret (Leonard) Ruby, of Yuma, Arizona, as well as his nephew Joseph (Anne) Ruby of Yuma, Arizona, and his nephew Patrick (Paula) Mullen, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1969—1971, from which he received an honorable discharge. His record collection, which he maintained with care, archives the important history of Pittsburgh musical artists of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.
Michael nurtured animals, especially cats. Many chose the warmth of Michael’s loving embrace, drawn to his gentle, loving spirit. Michael enjoyed listening to the rain while sitting on his porch, surrounded by his cat companions, with whom he shared a special bond.
All who felt Michael’s love remember him with gratitude. He leaves a legacy of service, compassion, and gentle care.
