Melissa Ann Hull

Melissa (Missy, Mel) Ann Hull, age 56, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2024. Melissa grew up in West Mifflin and was a graduate of West Mifflin South High School. A long-time resident of Lincoln Place, she was known and loved throughout the neighborhood for regularly going out of her way to help others. Melissa had a heart not just for people, but also animals, having many rescued dogs and cats in her lifetime. In addition to being great company, Melissa was an excellent cook, known for her mastery and continuation of family recipes. Melissa is survived by her father, John W. Hull Jr. of Florida, her sister, Kim Hull-Nitchkey, and brother, John Hull, both of Pittsburgh. Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Eileen Sars, and her sister Sherry Luchette. Melissa was a loving aunt to Alyssa and Matthew Luchette and Sarah Nitchkey, along with many four-legged, furry nieces and nephews.

We have no doubt that she was welcomed warmly into Heaven by those who preceded her, and that she will be watching over those lucky enough to know her. We will miss you dearly, Melissa, but you will always be a part of us. You hold a special place in the hearts of those that were fortunate enough to call you daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Melissa’s life on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10am until the 11am Blessing Service at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc., 600 Dunster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
