Mary Agnes (Wilder) Smith

Mary Agnes (Wilder) Smith,    Age 90, of Mt. Oliver Borough, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.  She was the loving wife of the late John W. Smith Sr.; beloved daughter of the late late Jacob and Agnes Wilder; cherished mother of John W. (Dottie Lou) Smith Jr., Ronald (Patricia) Smith, Thomas (Linda) Smith and the late Donna (Steven) Smith; adoring grandmother to Jodi, Ron Jr., Tammy, Judith, Mark, David, Melissa, Maura (Joseph) and Thomas Jr. (Andi); treasured great-grandmother of Marty, Nicholas, Mark Jr., Joseph Jr., Raelynn and Oliver; doting great-great-grandmother of Ava. Mary’s most profound role was being a loving, supporting wife and mother to her husband and children. Mary was one of the founding members of The Mt. Oliver Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She cherished her relationship with many friends and met weekly with them at Don’s Café in Mt. Oliver as part of a card league. Mary was an avid world traveler, enjoyed reading, cooking and spending quality time with her family. She was always able to bring joy and laughter with her witty humor and her bright smile. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11 AM in The Log Church, 1540 Roseberry St. Pittsburgh, PA 15216.   Arrangements entrusted to the Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. 600 Dunster St, Pittsburgh, PA 15226, Brookline.
