Lorraine "LD" Elsie (Symanski) Donnelly

Lorraine “LD” Donnelly, 82, of McCandless passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in her home, surrounded by family after battling several illnesses. Lorraine was born in Pittsburgh on December 6,1941 to the late Frank and Nancy (Boczar) Symanski. Except for a few years in Maryland and Minnesota, Lorraine lived most of her life in Pittsburgh and worked in clerical and retail fields. Bowling in several leagues and tournaments around the tri-state area was her passion in the 1970s and 80s. Later in life, Lorraine enjoyed completing her puzzles–both online and on her living room table. LD found joy in visiting casinos and watching her granddaughters play basketball and volleyball. 

Lorraine is survived by her loving children Scott (Terri) and Lori Donnelly; former spouse Raymond Donnelly; cherished granddaughters Ava and Olivia; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and loyal friends including neighbor, Pat N. Lorraine will be missed by the close-knit community at Calais Village who were so caring for her the last few months.

The family is planning a memorial service to celebrate Lorraine’s life.
