LEONARD F. BRONDER

Age 80, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Born in Pittsburgh on May 8, 1942 to the late Norbert and Bertha Bronder;
Loving husband of the late Marylin (Espy) Bronder; cherished father of Julie (Ted) Szalla,
Donna (Jeff) Snyder and the late Susan Bronder; stepfather to the late Danny Espy; proud
grandfather of Dan Jr., Teddy C, Danny “DJ”, Sara (Dan), Tony (Laura), Phillip (Kelly),
Stephanie, Christopher, Corey, Jacob, Alexis, and the late Michael Bronder and Nickole Espy;
adoring great-grandfather of Robert, Alexia, Teleah, Harper and Avery(and their mother Gina
Zakharin); dear brother to the late Rita Wilk, Alfred Bronder, Margaret Reinhart and Norbert
Bronder; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. Leonard served proudly in the U.S.Marine
Corps 1960-64. He was an officer at the VFW Post 694 in Dormont, the American Legion in
Brookline and the Italian Club in Carrick. He worked for and retired from J & L Steel Works
after 26 years of dedicated service. Leonard was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was
a tremendous fan of the the Pittsburgh Pirates and Buffalo Bills. Friends and family shall be
received Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. 600 Dunster
St., Pittsburgh, PA. 15226. Where a blessing service shall be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10am.
Followed by interment with Military Honors at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
