KATHLEEN (KITTY) B. CARLISLE It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen (Kitty) Bess Carlisle, age 65, of South Fayette announce her peaceful passing on November 23, 2020. Kitty was the daughter of the late James and Nancy Carlisle and mother of Kara Carlisle Knicely. She was the one and only “Meemaw” to Jase Nicholas Knicely and “Grandma Kitty” to Sydney Lee, Jackson Aaron, Angeleah Jaunee and Leonnah Starrlynn Knicely. Kitty was the beloved sister of the late James R. Carlisle (Evelyn), Carolyn C. Palmer (Bill), Marilyn C. Ballard (Harry), Mark G. Carlisle (Mary), Rebecca M. Carlisle (Erin), Marsha C. Leytrick (Wayne), the late Gregg G. Carlisle, Susan C. Dellapiazza (Dan), Nancy C. Spotti (Bob), Bess C. Rodrigo (Nelson), and Faith C. Morgan (Mike). She was also the cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews that mourn the loss of one of their favorites. Kitty was the epitome of the life of the party. Her laughter was contagious, her sense of wit was unparalleled, and her pranks always had you looking over your shoulder. To say she could dance, is the understatement of the year. Kitty could cut a rug twisting to Chubby Checker’s “The Twist”, barefooting to Claudine Clark’s “Party Lights”, and jitterbugging to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll”. She wasn’t voted “Best Dancer” in high school for nothing! Kitty’s love of life, compassion and faith in our Lord gave her the ability to care for others (especially the elderly) in a truly angelic way. She was selfless and humble in this extraordinary talent of hers and just gave her heart to all those she cared for. Kitty’s only daughter, Kara is truly grateful to have been taught all of the above characteristics by this amazing woman! She plans to continue the traditions of laughing, telling jokes, pulling pranks, twisting, barefooting, jitterbugging and humbly caring for others whenever possible with her five children to ensure she makes her “Mama” proud with this next generation. Unfortunately, due to the COVID19 Virus, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date in 2021, where we will certainly be dancing up a storm in Kitty’s honor! God Bless!
