Karen "Karebear" Snodgrass Obituary

Karen Lee Snodgrass, 51, departed this world on April 2, 2024. Karen was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on January 19, 1973. She may have been born in the city, but her heart belonged to the wild. Once her toes hit the grass, she never stopped running. In her youth, she ran track and later enjoyed going on walks. Karen also adored animals and animals adored her. In fact, as a child she once had a pet racoon.

She was an enchanting creature who could only be described as a paradox, one of which whose free-spirited heart could not be tamed.

Karen was a mess of beautiful contradictions, her wild heart wanted so much in life, yet she couldn’t quiet the raging storm that resided within her.

She found comfort in crocheting blankets, journaling or crafting keepsakes for relatives. Karen was someone you could find capturing or creating sweet moments through photography and writing. Karen is leaving behind her beloved children, Zane Grimm (Maria), Eric Dosdor Jr. (Ashlee), Haven Dosdor (Dane), and Mark Isasky Jr. She is the cherished daughter of Catherine McDonough, the late Leon Snodgrass and her late stepfather Stanley McDonough Jr.

She is preceded in death by her cherished sisters, Melissa “Missy” Snodgrass, Kristi McDonough and brother Stanley “Stush”McDonough III.

Karen is leaving behind her loving siblings Nina Kreuzer (Edward), Tony McDonough and LeAnn Snodgrass, as well as her grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. No services.
