Stina passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in UPMC Mercy ICU. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she is survived by her life partner, Keith Gwillim, RN; sons, Joseph Slick, PhD (Moonjeong, MSN) of Pittsburgh and Erik Slick of Las Vegas. Also surviving sister, Charlotte Campbell of Tampa and Roland Osland (Dr. Janet Summers) of San Antonio; nephews, Ernie Tach of Tampa and Evan Osland of Chicago. Also several grandchildren, Iokanaan (Joseph) Livorno, Italy and (Erik) Krystal, Marissa, Adriana, Erika, Annika, and Erixon Slick; numerous friends she had made throughout her life.
Stina was a wonderful woman with the biggest heart and a beautiful smile. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Stina worked many years for America's Best Contacts as a District Manager and operated her own store, Vision Value Center in Greensburg.
Stina belonged to the Scandinavian Society and the Scandinavian Folk Dancers of Western PA. She was also an animal lover and gave generously to support abused/abandoned animals. Donations to ASPCA or Animals Friends will help continue her legacy.
