Joyce Lorraine Bishop, 76, of Washington, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 20, 2025. She was born on December 4, 1948 in Washington PA, to the late Wilbert Ralph Statler and Maryada LaVaughn Rodgers. Joyce was a 1967 graduate of Canon MacMillian High School. She cared deeply for others and was generous and compassionate, both personally and professionally as a CNA.
Joyce had a strong Christian faith and Jesus was her Savior and Lord. She sang on the worship team of Calvary Temple Church and was known for her loving, honest, and giving spirit. Joyce also enjoyed country and gospel music, bowling, and watching Steelers games.
Joyce is survived by a son, Michael (Brandi) Murr; former husband, Donald Murr; granddaughter, Gabriella Murr; brothers, Kenneth (Patricia) Statler, Robert Rodgers, and Clarence Rodgers; sisters, Arlene Bowles and Donna (William) Marburger; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Deceased are foster mother, Sara Henderson; brother, Louie Statler; and sisters, Darlene Robl and Linda Daugherty.
Joyce’s greatest desire was for everyone to know, love, and follow Jesus, as she did.
Joyce's life left a lasting impact and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
