Joseph Charles Turkovich

Joseph C Turkovich of Clairton, PA lost his battle with cancer and went to see our Lord on October 27, 2023 at age 73. He was the son of the late Martin and Margaret (Calvano) Turkovich. He was also preceded in death by his brother Martin Turkovich. He is survived by his spouse John Breznican of 43 years and their dog Mia. He is survived by his sisters Madlynn Fedrick, of Carroll Township PA  and Margaret Turkovich ( Peggy)  of Donora PA and sister in laws Michellle Turkovich of Monessen PA, Carol Breznican Bayster of Mechanicsburg PA and Denise Breznican Whaley ( Mike) of Leechburg PA,  along with several nieces and nephews.

Joseph graduated from Donora High School in 1967. He then attended and graduated from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy of Cosmetology. He was employed by Peroks Beauty Salon in Monessen. He was also a CNA at the VA hospital in Aspinwall, PA. Joseph enjoyed music and dancing and had a sense of humor aka Joeyism’s. He enjoyed doing crafts and interior decorating along with gardening and landscaping. Joseph was an avid lover of wild life and had several domestic birds as pets; Baby Ara, Rosie and Al, Saigon, Spencer and Angel. He also had three dogs Sebastian, Bella and Rocco. He was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish in Clairton PA. A Memorial Mass was held on November 2, 2023 in St. Thomas Becket Church in Jefferson Hills, PA. The mass was concelebrated by father Pat and Father Bill and was officiated by Reverend Zywan. He will be privately interred in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Cemetery in Vandergrift PA.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. May eternal rest grant unto Joe O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace Amen.
