Joseph Stephen Owens

Joe, age 70, was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Joe attended Churchill High School. A hard worker, Joe spent nearly 20 years with Atomatic Manufacturing Company in East Pittsburgh before concluding his career at Kurt J. Lesker Company. Outside of work, Joe enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the band RUSH. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Mary Owens; his sister, Jackie Owens; his children, Joe and Jason (Sara) Owens; his stepdaughter, Gina Scalfari-Jones; and his granddaughter, Jillian. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wally Owens, and his nephews, Stephen and Paul. Joe was the son of the late Charles J. Yerman and Rose Yerman.

Friends and family shall gather to celebrate his life at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. on February 1, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
