John J. McElroy

John J McElroy Sr passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 63. John, the son of the late Patricia (Bridge) Fennell (Robert) and John McElroy, brother of the late David A. McElroy and Michael McElroy (Kim) grew up and raised his family in Brookline. He had a passion for collecting comic books, everyone who knew him knows he loved his superheroes. More than anything he loved his family, especially the children. Father of the late John J. McElroy Jr is survived by cherished partner Debra Schilling, his son Mathew McElroy and daughters Jamie McElroy, Lindsey McElroy and Madison McElroy. The beloved uncle and grandfather of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and family shall gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 11am until the 1pm memorial service at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc., 600 Dunster St., Pittsburgh, PA 15226. The family then extends an invitation all to join them for a wake to at the Elizabeth Seton Center on Pioneer starting at 2pm
