JIMMIE LEE WILLIAMS

Jimmie was born September 5, 1939 to the late Cleveland and Willie Lou (Cole) Williams.

Jimmie and his family moved to Pittsburgh in the early 50’s. As a young man he attended the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Jimmie worked at J&L Steel for many years. He was a proud alumnus of Point Park College where he received a baccalaureate in elementary education and liberal arts.

In 1959 he married Brenda Moody, and from their union had two children, Katherine Maureen and James Lee Jr. He later had a son Shelton all reside in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was a very loving man who truly adored spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid baseball, basketball and of course football fan.

Jimmie departed this life on November 6, 2021, after two years of illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cleveland and Willie Lou Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Katherine M. Williams, son James Lee Jr., and son Shelton L. Williams all of Pittsburgh, his brother James G. Williams (Atlanta, GA) and sister Katie L. Evins (Pittsburgh, PA); five grandchildren Carl, Jasmine, Cody, Curtis and Cayce; five great-grandchildren Dane, Jasmere, Cody, Cason and Nasha; nieces Lisa Honacker (Gary) and Brittney and great-niece Londyn B.
