On Monday, December 22, 2025 Jean J. Ratay of Brookline, PA passed away quietly at home surrounded by family. She was a daughter, twin, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic her entire life. She assisted in teaching at St. Pius X Grade School. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at the church. She had a long career in banking as a teller and retired from PNC Bank in Dormont at the age of 77. She was born of Italian immigrants of Naples, Italy. She was a fabulous cook and cooked for no less than an army always. She loved music particularly Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli who she saw live in concert multiple times. She also had a deep love for animals, plants and nature in general. She will earn her wings and join her husband Joseph J. Ratay, five siblings, her parents and many dear friends.
She is survived by her children Joseph, John and Jennifer.
May she rest in eternal peace.
A Funeral Mass shall be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026 in St. Pius X Church, St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 3040 Pioneer Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15226
