Janice Leigh Koranteng (McCrea)
Janice Leigh Koranteng (McCrea) of Pittsburgh, PA was born on November 29, 1965 in Ellwood City, PA. She was the youngest beloved child to the late William and Shirley McCrea (Duff).
Janice was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and a graduate of The Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.
Janice worked many years as a hair stylist before changing over to secretarial work. Due to her many health illnesses, Janice was forced to work limited hours and than eventually had to retire at an early age.
Janice was known as the life of the party. She was never afraid to try anything or say whatever was on her mind. Her personality is why so many loved her so much.
Janice had many interest over the years. She enjoyed shopping, going out to dinner, getting ice cream, having family get together's, going to the casino, amusement parks and most of all Christmas time.
Janice enjoyed more than anything, spending time with her great nephews, De'Ante and Braxton. She loved them both with her whole heart. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for them.
Janice is survived by a sister, Kimberly McConnell, her niece Tonya (Timothy) Johnson, two great nephews, De'Ante Johnson and Braxton Johnson, her step daughter, Clarissa Clark, as well as many close friends and cousin's.
Janice had been sick for years from dialysis. After having her right leg amputated in 2022, her quality of life was over. She tried and struggled everyday. She is no longer suffering or in pain.
Janice left this earth on May 22, 2024. Our hearts weren't ready to let her go, but her memories will stay with us forever. Janice please guide us and watch over us as we try to manage life without you.
