Passed away peacefully from complications of breast cancer on Sunday, October 24, 2021, age 78. Born in Pittsburgh on August 16, 1943, was a graduate of Ohio State University, was fluent in 8 languages, had friends all over the world and will be missed by all. Janet was preceded in death by her Mother, Celesta S Walker, Father, William Carik, and Step-Father Richard C Walker. Janet leaves behind a son, Christopher Conn Taylor, residing at Verland in Swickley, PA, whom she was lovingly devoted to. She also leaves a sister, Wilma J Harris of Sarasota, FL, a brother, Andrew C Walker (Marie) of Fenton, MI, 1 aunt, Mary Golling Koeppl of Oriskany, NY, and many, many cousins. Janet was aunt to David S Carik, Terri L Starr and Donna Fanos. Great-aunt to Johanna, Luke, Jaime and Trinity. Great-great-aunt to Ryan, Emmett and Martie. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janets' name to the Verland Foundation Inc, 212 Iris Rd, Sewickley, PA 15143.Those interested in attending a memorial service for Janet when the details are worked out, please send your e-mail to janetjainmemorial@gmail.com with your contact information.
