Jane Amanda Brady

Jane Amanda Brady, age 50, left this life too soon on March 23, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by her family and friends.   

Beloved wife of Tim Brady. Treasured daughter of Donna (Kline) and Jim Slaughter. Cherished, loving, kind, and fierce mother of Sean, Colin, Fiona, Bridget, and Jessica. Proud sister of Lindsey. She also leaves behind many other loving family and friends. 

Amanda, as she was known to all, was born on August 7, 1974, in Camp Hill, PA. She attended Camp Hill Schools and graduated in 1992. Amanda went on to Point Park University in Pittsburgh exercising her high energies and talents in musical theater.

Immediately following college graduation, Amanda proudly starred in a Broadway Production of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”. She began the tour as one of the brides while also direct under study for the leading female role. She then completed the second half of the tour as the leading lady, making this one of the most memorable experiences in her professional theater career.  Amanda also appeared as Belle in the annual production of  "A Christmas Carol” in downtown Pittsburgh, often in tandem with her husband Tim. 

For others who were lucky to know her -- whether family, friends, or strangers who quickly became friends due to her gregarious nature -- Amanda’s spirit was and will continue to be the essence of compassion, vibrancy, and love.

A memorial service for Amanda will be held on Friday March 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church,  4600 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA 15668.
