ISBELLA (GUARINO) ARDOLINO   On Thursday, December 3rd, we lost a most beautiful soul, one not soon to be forgotten. Isabella (Guarino) Ardolino, age 81, was called by Our Savior to continue her extraordinary journey in life. Beloved wife of Robert Ambrose Ardolino; loving mother of Robert (Donna Lee), Jeffrey (Christine) and Rodney (Tammy); truly adored sister of Carmella, Mary Jo and Anthony; cherished grandmother of Kara, Amber, Alyssa (Josh) Pike, Joseph, Nolan and Jeffrey; treasured aunt and friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Josephine Guarino and brothers Louis Sr. and Orlando. Host and producer of a weekly radio program in the 1980's. "Italia con voi", she was a Saturday morning staple for the local Pittsburgh Italian community. Eloquent in two languages, she was captivating to all listeners. Mentor, teacher, voice of reason, orchestrator of family gatherings, her love of music, language and all things culinary were at the core of her life. Simple pasta dinners were planned with a maestro's attention to detail. Creative, intelligent and an ardent zest for life describe her best. A penchant for travel, she loved to learn about new places, but her favorite place was across the table from a doting grandchild gripping a fresh cup of coffee, discussing the affairs of their day! Thank you Iz, for imparting that "Italian Sapore" to all the lives you touched. Thank you for the warmth of your kitchen and the warmth of your heart. Andare con Dio!
