HOWARD PEARSON

Howard Pearson, 68, of Washington, passed away on October 31, 2023, in St. Clair Hospital, after a brief illness. 

He was born on June 15, 1955, in Greene County, a son of the late Wilbur Lozier and Gertrude Johnson Gary. 

A graduate of West Greene High School, Howard worked in insurance sales and later established his own trucking business.  During his life, Howard enjoyed fishing, auto repair, watching wrestling and old westerns, caring for his cats, and spending time with family and friends, who will miss him so much.

Howard was a devoted husband to his wife, Kathleen, whom he married in 1999.  He was a loving father and step-father to his children, Tammy (Scott) Morris of Masontown; Joseph Pearson (April Hocker) of Scio, Ohio; and Jodi Linderman (Jason Dresner) of Austin, Texas.  He was a cherished brother to his sister, Janie Gilbert of Claysville and a caring grandfather and great-grandfather.  Howard loved and was loved by so many who met him and will be additionally remembered by many cousins, sisters-in-law, friends, and neighbors. 

The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at St. Clair Hospital for their extraordinary care of Howard during his time there. 

Per Howard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
