HENRY A. SMITH   Age 89, of Beechview, formerly of Pittsburgh’s Hill District Neighborhood, passed peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Pittsburgh on July 17, 1935 to the late Henry R. and Gladys (Bell) Smith. Loving husband of Alice Mae (Price) Smith; cherished father of Erica Smith; dear brother of Joan Poole and the late Catherine Quarles and Charles (Jacqueline) Smith; adoring uncle to Leslie McCray, Sheilah Smith, Sharon Quarles, Gilbert Quarles Jr., Michael Quarles and Keith Quarles, Derrick Quarles, Leonard Smith, Tamiko Smith, Nikkol Smith-Hill, Makeda Smith, and the late Marsha Stevenson and Robert “Butchie” Poole; treasured great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend of many. Per Henry’s request, privately interred at Homewood Cemetery.
