HAROLD LEE YOHO
May 10, 1940 - September 24, 2025
Harold “Lee” Yoho, 85, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, to reunite with John David Grace, his beloved husband of 64 years. They were inseparable since they first met on Lee’s 21st birthday.
Lee is survived by his loving sisters, Bonnie Stewart, and Doreen, Schrechengost. His memory will also be cherished by many nieces, nephews and devoted friends and neighbors who were also family to him. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, David and Doris Yoho, a sister, Sallie Lou Miller and brothers, Ronald, Donald and Richard.
Lee was a ballroom dance instructor at Arthur Murray Studios. He was a professional hairstylist and artist extraordinaire. Many of his bejeweled artworks have been displayed and sold in Pittsburgh galleries. He loved singing and ballroom dancing, especially salsa. He was an avid gardener…his yard was pristinely groomed, and flowers provided brilliant colors! Always a lover of animals, he raised many exotic birds, most recently a parrotlet named Azul, who is mourning his loss. It seems Lee never met a stranger, as he was very outgoing. He was very kind and personable, with a loving, generous heart.
To honor his wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at UPMC East (5th floor) and Family Hospice for their compassionate care and providing great comfort and support.
