Gregory Bernard Davis

Gregory Bernard Davis, age 77, from Belle Vernon, PA, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024.  He was born to Charles "Beans" and Violet "Billie" (Hott) Davis on March 1, 1946.  Greg is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Kania), three sons and their wives, Jesse and Megan, Jacob and Kara, Jason and Emily and four grandchild Rowan, Cameron, Josh and Allison.

Greg taught Life Sciences at Community College of Allegheny County Allegheny Campus on Pittsburgh's North Shore for over 45 years. “Smilin’ Greg” was a lover of Bluegrass music and played in Pittsburgh’s elite bluegrass band, “The Bluefield Boys’, in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was an avid fly fisherman and loved being on the stream in all types of weather.    The love of his family and close friends helped him endure a lengthy illness, and he was grateful to all of them.

There will be a memorial service/picking party, on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Parrish Hill Lodge in North Park at 3:00pm.  Bring your instruments and voices to help us celebrate his LIFE.
