Graci Foster (Sampson) Falkner

GRACI FALKNER (SAMPSON)

Born June 4, 1951 to Mary and Clyde Sampson, Graci was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Carol and George.  She is survived by her wonderful brothers Ernie (Brenda) and Arthur (Linda) and two sisters Mary Grubb and Harriet (Gregg) Barkey.  Graci was a loving mother to Scott (Cindy) Falkner, grandmother to Autumn MacCombie (Herbert (Bert)), Chase and the late Savanna and great-grandmother of three, Braylee, Herbert (Mac) and Nolan (Nolie), and aunt to Tim Farber.

Graci was a member of the F.O.E., the Polish White Eagles and auxiliary member of the Legion Post 862.  She was also President and hostess of the Ambassador’s Club.  She was a loyal employee of Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale Company for 31 years.  Diagnosed with cancer, Graci dealt with what she termed as her condition for 14 years always staying positive leaving this world peacefully, without pain and worries.  She is survived by her husband of 38 years, William Falkner.

So thankful for the staff at Shadyside ICU and Magee Hospital.

The service for Graci will be held at Covenant-Community Presbyterian Church, 1630 Greentree Road, Scott Township, on Saturday, May 21^st at 11:00 a.m.  You are asked to wear bright, colorful Jimmy Buffet/Hawaiian style clothing as this is a CELEBRATION OF GRACI’S LIFE!

Graci’s favorite charities are the Make- a- Wish Foundation, Give Kids the World and the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall located in Carnegie, Pennsylvania.

Graci enjoyed participating in the Regatta, camping, Jamboree in the Hills, concerts, island vacations (favorite being San Juan), white water rafting, fishing (not so much), casinos and playing games on her iPad.  And last but not least her little black box of Chardonnay!

Graci loved her friends, family and neighbors.
