Ernest Edward Acampora

Age 76, passed peacefully in his home with his wife and children by his side on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Beloved son of the late Edward and Zena (Licari) Acampora; loving husband of 33 years to Erin (Hickey) Acampora; cherished father of Meagan Acampora (fiancé Brian Rutkowski) and Zachary Acampora (Courtney); adoring grandfather of Weston Acampora. Ernie was a sweet soul who loved anybody he came in contact with, especially his sisters-in-law and their husbands for whom he held a special place in his heart. Ernie was so loved and will be missed by many. No visitation. There will be a memorial service at The Log Church, 1540 Roseberry St., Pittsburgh, PA 15216 at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Interment service with military honors at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017. Luncheon to follow at The Log Church.
