Devarell "DJ" James Sims beloved father, pap pap, brother and friend passed away June 03, 2024, after suffering from a stroke. DJ was born the son of Delores and Russell Sims in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from South Hills High School where he was an avid basketball player. DJ spent the majority of his life in Pittsburgh with the exception of his proud military service in the Vietnam War as an Airmen in the United States Navy. After the war, he was employed at Kerotest a manufacturing company until he retired. After retirement, he was a long time Jitney driver and a skilled mechanic. He leaves his cherished memories to his children: Aminah, Devarell Jr. "JR", Kameelah. Grandchildren: Kyree, Alex, Kendrell, Shanasia, Kaleb, Elijah. Siblings: Manford (Buddy), Darlene, Denice, Dwayne (Wayne), and a host of other relatives and friends.
