Dennis J. Murphy "Murph"
Age 83, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023 and moved on to his final reward after a life well lived. 

Dennis taught at St. Canice and St. Bernards before becoming Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of Grace parish in Scott Township. In 1979, he became the owner of Murphy‘s Pour House in Carnegie, PA. In 1989, he was the founder of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Division #32 in Carnegie. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary ‘Love’ Murphy and his brothers David, Jim and Tom. He leaves behind many loving family members as well as numerous lifelong friends. He will be deeply missed by the Irish community in which he supported and promoted. Dennis will be remembered for sharing and celebrating his Irish heritage. Many pints will be raised in his honor by those who knew and loved him on Earth and those welcoming him in Heaven. 

A special thank you to those who cared for Murph especially Lynn, Maribeth, Diane, Michael, and Tom. There will be no visitation as requested by Dennis. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel parish, Our Lady of Grace in Scott Township, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 AM. Burial will be private. Professional services entrusted to Ball Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be sent to AOH #32, 302 Mansfield Blvd., Carnegie, PA 15106. Attn: Charity Fund.
