Dalton Joseph Psomas, 25, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, after a courageous fight against cancer. Born on August 20, 2000, Dalton had been a shining light from the very beginning.
He faced many hurdles starting at a young age, yet he continued to radiate positivity and hope, giving strength and inspiration to everyone around him when it was needed most. Dalton had a smile that was simply contagious.
In 2022, Dalton graduated from Cal University—an accomplishment he was incredibly proud of and a journey he truly enjoyed. During his time there, he deepened his love for theatre, a passion he carried forward by attending many Broadway shows. He loved Legos, Harry Potter, theatre, and, of course, Cal.
Over the last two years, Dalton became an inspiration to many. He battled a very rare cancer while also relearning life skills after an amputation. Through it all, his positive spirit never wavered. His ability to keep shining, smiling, and laughing during such a challenging time helped carry his entire village through it with him.
Dalton was blessed with an extraordinary medical team, for which his family will be forever grateful. The doctors, nurses, and staff gave the gift of time—time that will always be cherished.
He is survived by his parents, Gina Stefan Psomas and Dion Psomas; his Grammy and Pappy, Roseann and Steve Stefan; his “favorite” aunt and uncle, Amy (Stefan) and Michael Holoubek; his cousins, Hannah (Logan), Logan (Eliana), and Riley (Luke); as well as many other family members, his “bros” and many dear friends.
Dalton will be greatly missed. One thing is certain—because of you, Dalton, we have all been changed for good. L-ve while you can!
