Cheryl Wank (Brown) of Mt. Washington passed away on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. Beloved daughter of Marilyn L. Holland (Maines) and the late Ronald P. Brown. Cheryl is preceded in death by stepfather Regis Holland and brother James Holland and survived by son Steven Wank (Melissa), daughters Melissa Paul (Michael) and Beth Maloney (Brad), grandson Mason Paul, sisters Debra Brown and Bonnie Smith and numerous family and friends.
Cheryl enjoyed the simple things. A good laugh, a delicious steak dinner at Melissa and Lefty’s, time with her pride and joy grandson Mason whom she nicknamed Squidge, the occasional holiday wresting match between her and Steven after telling his girlfriend Melissa how she doesn’t know how she puts up with him, and visiting Beth and Brad and their chickens on their “farm.” Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her mother Marilyn. Whether it was a road trip or just sitting on her porch, their time spent together was always special. There wasn’t a song she wasn’t willing to dance to or a pool table she wouldn’t play on. She wore Chanel’s signature fragrance, COCO, like it was her own. Known to many simply as Beans, Cheryl loved her friends and family more than she could ever express and cherished her time with them.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Mercy Hospital for all of their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Cheryl’s life on Monday, November 1st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Ball Funeral Chapel located at 600 Dunster St., Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
