Charles Brian “Chuck” King, 58, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born on May 3, 1966, in Sun Valley, California, Chuck was the beloved son of Clarence William “Bill” King and Shirley Ann (Richardson) King. An imaginative and passionate person, Chuck enjoyed creative, interactive games like Dungeons & Dragons and was an avid collector of Star Wars memorabilia.
After graduating from Hickory High School in 1984, Chuck spent most of his career working as a security guard throughout the Hermitage area. After years as a dedicated caretaker of his mother Shirley, Chuck became a CNA at the Nugent’s Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He worked at Nugent’s for four years until retiring in 2013 due to his health.
Chuck is survived by his sister Andrea Wright (Richard), brother William King (Sharon), nieces Jennifer Ward (Joel), Brittany King and Lauryn King, and nephew Richard Wright (Jennifer), great nieces Ansley, Evelyn and Amelia Ward, and Luna Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Shirley.
Chuck will be laid to rest near his mother and father at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. His family has chosen to have a small private gathering at the gravesite.
Memorial donations in Chuck’s memory may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
