Charles Bursich Obituary

Charles Martin Bursich

Proudly with grace and dignity, our Mountaineer Charles Martin Bursich entered the gates of heaven on Saturday Jan 15, 2022. Chuck was born March 31, 1943 in Etna, Pa. The loves of his life were his wife Bonnie A Bursich, children Lisa (Phu) Ngo, Charles (Cassie) Bursich, Dana (Michael) Gallaher, Emily (Jon) Androski, Michael (Courtney) Bursich and Jonathan (Liza) Bursich.  He never missed an opportunity to enjoy his grandchildren Nick, Madison, Alexa, Ava, Tyler, Alex, James, Joseph, Norah, Jonathan, Ella, Sadie and Elizabeth. Survived by his brother Rick Cessar Sr.

Chuck was an excellent athlete, playing football for the WVU Mountaineers with the highlight being inducted into the WVU Hall of Fame with his Liberty Bowl Team.  He was a dedicated teacher for 38 years and President of the Teachers Union in the latter part of his career.

There was no place Chuck would rather be than laughing and celebrating with his family and friends over drinks and great food.  He was a lover of life and always found a reason to celebrate.  Chuck donated to several charities and lending a helping hand to anyone that asked was truly second nature to him.

The hole that is in our hearts will never be filled by his great loss.
We will forever love the strongest, kindest man we know and have peace knowing he is fully healed with our Heavenly Father.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, February 19th at 11 am in Christ Church located at 44 Highland Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Church are suggested. Arrangements by Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc.
