CAROL J. (BAUMANN) MANOLIOS

 

After a valiant fight, Carol J. Manolios peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Beloved mother of Christopher N. Manolios, former wife of the late George N. Manolios, daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Baumann, sibling of the late Sonny Baumann, Aunt to Roy Baumann, and Stuart Baumann, sisterin-law to Florence Baumann and favorite ex sister-in-law to Louis N. Manolios and Maria Manolios Slifer. Carol was born in New York City and graduated from William Taft High School and studied advertising and graphic design at the Fashion Institute. Carol spent the majority of her adult life in Pittsburgh. She worked for many years at the Pittsburgh Courier. During the past 20+ years, she worked part-time as a receptionist for the Weinberg Terrace located in Squirrel Hill where she was recognized for demonstrating exceptional customer service. Carol was an avid reader, artistic, and never missed a week in completing her NY Times crossword puzzle. She was very stylish and had a wonderful sense of humor.She will be greatly missed by all. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 5:00 pm until the 7:00 pm blessing service at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc., 600 Dunster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
