Carl Douglas Humphreys passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Carl was born on February 9, 1963, to the late Lois Grimm and Carl Douglas Humphreys, he grew up in many places, with the fondest being Tucson, Arizona. 

Carl excelled in various careers through life. He was a dance instructor, top tier chef in high level restaurants, a very successful salesman for Sysco, a poet, photographer, and a musician.

Living his life as a jack of all trades, he would ultimately meet his wife, Gretchen Ann Buehler, and knowing that he had found his soulmate. The loving couple would come to have three wonderful children - Cameron Douglas Humphreys, Hunter Paul Humphreys, and Paige Ann Humphreys. 

Carl will be remembered and truly missed for his crazy storytelling, his love for cooking, his advice as a father and friend, and the poetry, art and love that he leaves behind. 

Family and friends shall gather to celebrate his LIFE on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from noon until 4pm at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc., 600 Dunster St., Pittsburgh, PA 15226
