Brian Christopher Perri, age 52, departed this life to rejoin our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 14, 2020. His work here is done; he received his call home to heaven. He was born on October 18, 1967 in Pittsburgh, PA and was a life-long resident. He was very proud of his hometown, especially his beloved Steelers and Pirates. He always described heaven as a wonderful, relaxing home where the Steelers of the 1970’s and the Pirates would always be playing, and he would meet up with his dearly beloved parents who preceded him in death, John and Florence “Lorraine” Perri. He was a loving, caring and compassionate boyfriend, best friend, son, brother and uncle and we wish him a safe journey. We will remember his smile, his warmth and love for his friends, his family, especially his nephew and nieces and his colleagues, many of whom over time became friends. We also recall his love of building model airplanes, watching history documentaries, particularly on WQED Pittsburgh’s PBS channel and watching movies and videos of penguins, which were his favorite animals. Due to his model airplane hobby, he made many friends from all over the world on internet modeling forums. He will be deeply missed. The second of two children, he is survived by his girlfriend of 13 years, Tracey Brochin of Aliquippa, his best friend of over 30 years, Mark Chweh of Seattle, WA, his sister, Karen Lang and her husband Thomas Lang of Kennedy Township, his nephew Thomas Jr. “TJ” and his nieces Danielle, Kayla and Kristina. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, services will not be held. However, we invite you to join us for a Celebration of Brian’s Life in the future. We also invite you to remember Brian with a contribution to one of two charities: WQED Pittsburgh’s PBS Station at 4802 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or online at https://www.wqed.org/donate or Penguins International at PO Box 100483, Denver, CO 80250 or online at https://www.penguinsinternational.org/donate/.
