Brenda McGrath Obituary

Brenda J. (Kapp) McGrath passed away peacefully at home on April 22^nd at 83 years of age. She was born April 4^th, 1939 in Penn Hills, PA to the late Charles Francis Kapp and Florence Grace (Beckwith) Kapp.

Brenda was married to the late Robert N. McGrath, Sr. on September 12, 1959. She worked as a secretary to the President of J&L Steel when first married and as a secretary during the 70’s and 80’s for the Penn Hills School District. Brenda loved to read, was an incredible cook, and an amazing artist.

She is survived by their five children Robert N. McGrath, Jr. (Mary) of N. Kingston, RI, Michael McGrath (Theresa) of New Kensington, PA, Julie Scott (Charles Erik) of Nashville, AR, Jill McGrath Keebler of Penn Hills, PA, and James McGrath (Natalie) of Arnold, MD. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her sister Karen Koger (Donald) of Harmony, PA and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Patrick McGinley and Suzanne Weise of Morgantown, WV.

Following Brenda’s wishes, there will be no services. In memory of Brenda, donations may be made to the Penn Hills Service Association or the Penn Hills Library.
