Arlene M. Miller

Arlene Miller, 77, from the Brookline neighborhood in the city of Pittsburgh, passed away at home on September 21, 2024, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Her son wishes to extend special thanks to Vitas Healthcare hospice care team for her care, especially Crystal and Tara. Thank you also to friends who visited and prayed with Arlene during her final days, especially Bert. 

Daughter of Clarence X and Marie (Raimondi) Miller, Arlene was born on November 20, 1946, in Troy Hill. 

Arlene was preceded to heaven by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and several pets. 

Arlene is survived by her son, David W Miller of Pittsburgh, her sister, Margie Wade of Florida, her nieces; Tami Zayac of Florida, Bonnie Jean Zayac of Indiana,, Joleen Zayac of Ohio and Tricia Richardson (Garrett)of Florida and her nephew, Rich Krause (Kurt), also of Florida, as well as many beloved cousins, dear friends and her dog. 

Arlene was deeply loved and a friend to many. She loved to have coffee and laugh with friends and cuddle with her beloved dogs. Arlene had a generous heart, was a strong person who overcame many challenges, stood up for her beliefs, defended the powerless and fiercely protected those she loved. Arlene also celebrated her Italian heritage, enjoyed cooking, and made the best lasagna. 

Arlene was a longtime member of Church of Resurrection of St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish and a Board Member of Hearing Loss Association-Pittsburgh Chapter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa Parish, Church of Resurrection, 1100 Creedmore Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15226 on Thursday October 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
